Titanium wire mesh is a metal mesh woven with titanium wire as raw material, with the following characteristics:

Material characteristics

Low density and high strength: The density of titanium is 4.54g/cm³, which is 43% lighter than steel, but its mechanical strength is similar to that of steel, twice that of aluminum, and five times that of magnesium, making the titanium wire mesh light in weight while having high strength.

Excellent corrosion resistance: In a corrosion-resistant medium environment, a dense, highly adhesive, and inert oxide film can be formed on the surface, resulting in passivation, and protecting the titanium wire mesh substrate from corrosion. Especially in environments such as seawater, wet chlorine, chlorite and hypochlorite solutions, nitric acid, chromate metal chlorides, and organic salts, the corrosion resistance is more prominent. For example, in 60% nitric acid, the corrosion rate of pure titanium wire mesh is only 0.001mm/a.

Good heat resistance: Titanium is resistant to high temperatures, with a melting point of 1942K. New titanium alloys can be used for a long time at 600 degrees or higher.

Specifications

Wire diameter: The diameter of titanium wire is wide, and the common diameter of titanium wire is between 0.1 mm-2.5 mm, such as 0.1mm, 0.2mm, 0.8mm, 1.0mm, 2.0mm, and other specifications.

Mesh number: The mesh number ranges from 0.3 mesh to about 400 mesh, and the common ones are 10 mesh, 15 mesh, 20 mesh, 30 mesh, 40 mesh, 60 mesh, 80 mesh, 100 mesh, 120 mesh, etc.

Mesh shape and size: The mesh shape is mostly square, diamond, etc., and the mesh of plain-woven titanium wire mesh is relatively regular. The mesh size varies according to the mesh number, and the aperture ranges from 0.02 mm to 50 mm. For example, the aperture of 10 mesh titanium mesh is relatively large, and the aperture of 400 mesh titanium mesh is very small.

Mesh width and length: The width is generally between 5 2000 mm, and the length is usually 5mm – unlimited and can be customized according to actual use requirements.

Weaving process

Plain weave: The weaving method of the plain titanium mesh is relatively simple, the warp and weft are interwoven, the mesh surface is relatively flat, and it has good stability and strength. It is suitable for a variety of filtering and screening occasions.

Twill weave: The appearance of the twill-woven titanium wire mesh presents oblique lines. Compared with the plain weave, its flexibility and elasticity are slightly better, and the filtering performance is also relatively stable. It is often used in some applications that have certain requirements for filtering effect and mesh flexibility.

Dense weave: The dense weave titanium wire mesh has finer mesh holes, which can provide higher filtering accuracy. It is mainly used in special fields with extremely high filtering requirements.
