Molybdenum crucibles are equipment used in metallurgy.
The equipment is made of Mo-1 molybdenum powder and has an operating temperature of 1100℃~1700℃. It is mainly used in the metallurgical industry, rare earth industry, single crystal silicon, solar energy, artificial crystals and mechanical processing industries.
Types of molybdenum crucibles: machined crucibles, sintered crucibles, spinning crucibles, stamping crucibles, etc.
Machine-processed molybdenum crucibles are mainly small-sized crucibles, which are made of molybdenum rods through lathes.
Spinning molybdenum crucibles
Spinning is a pressure processing method for forming thin-walled hollow rotating parts. It uses the feed motion of the rotating wheel or rod industry to apply pressure to the metal blank rotating along the same axis with the core mold, so that it produces continuous local plastic deformation and becomes the desired hollow. Spinning molybdenum crucible is a thin-walled crucible formed as a whole by a spinning process using a molybdenum plate. This process can realize the production of large-sized thin-walled crucibles.

Application
Due to the melting point of molybdenum as high as 2610℃, molybdenum crucibles are widely used as core containers in industrial furnaces such as sapphire single crystal growth furnaces, quartz glass melting furnaces, and rare earth smelting furnaces. The working temperature environment is generally above 2000℃. Especially for sapphire single crystal growth furnaces, molybdenum crucibles with high purity, high density, no internal cracks, precise size, smooth inner and outer walls, etc. play a key role in the success rate of seeding, quality control of crystal pulling, decrystalline sticking to the pot, and service life during the growth of sapphire crystals.
